Practice Exercise (Optional)

1. Add a detail line showing the fire egress path showing the office in the upper left corner to the egress stairway

• Open the Level 2 plan view
• Create a new detail line showing the path from the office through the hall to the fire egress stair
• Define a new line style for the egress path detail lines, with a line weight of 9, color red and dashed line pattern
• Change the egress detail line to use this new line style
• Add a filled region to the small offices in the upper left corner of the plan view
• Open the Level 2 plan view
• Add a filled region bounded by the walls, set the type to Diagonal Crosshatch
• Select the filled region and note the area of this region displayed in the Properties palette
• Create a new filled region type to display Tile - 12”, set the fill pattern to the Model pattern type to 12” Tile
• Use this new filled region type to indicate the tile flooring will be used in the adjacent offices
