  • Create mass floors in the the extruded mass form.
    • Select the mass form.
    • Use the Mass Floors tool to create a mass floor element at each level defined in the project.
  • Create a Mass Floor schedule to sum the area of all the mass floor elements.
    • Use the Schedule tool to create a schedule showing information about all the mass floor elements. Mass Floors appear as a subitem with the Mass category, so you’ll need to:
      • Expand the Mass item in the category list.
      • Select the Mass Floors item.
    • Include these field in your Mass Floor Schedule:
      • Level
      • Floor Area
      • Floor Volume
      • Floor Perimeter
      • Mass: Family
  • Add a Grand Total line to your schedule, then calculate the total of the Floor Area field.
  • Edit the mass as needed to create a form with 100,000 SF of floor area.
  • Use the Edit In-Place tool to open the mass form for editing.Push or pull on the mass surfaces, edges, or vertices to reshape it.Observe how the floor area changes in the Mass Floor schedule.
